The project we're featuring today involved the demolition of an old Railway Yard. The city council gave permission to clearing of the site to make way for a new mixed-use development.

Before any demolition could begin, extensive planning and preparation were essential. Here’s a breakdown of what went into getting the project off the ground:

1. Permits and Regulations: Permits and regulations were the first step. This involved close coordination with local government authorities to meet all legal requirements, including environmental impact assessments and community consultations.

2. Safety Measures: Safety is paramount in any demolition project. We conducted thorough site assessments to identify potential hazards and developed a comprehensive safety plan. This included training for all personnel, securing the site perimeter, and setting up emergency response protocols.

3. Equipment Selection: Choosing the right equipment is crucial for the efficiency and safety of the demolition process. For this project, we utilised a combination of high-reach excavators, hydraulic breakers, and concrete crushers to carefully dismantle the structure.

4. Debris Management: Managing the debris was a critical part of the project. Concrete was crushed on-site and reused as fill material, while metals and other recyclable materials were sorted and sent to recycling facilities.
